Good things to know

Is the teaching done by AI?
No. A real, interviewed teacher runs every live session. AI handles the diagnostics and prep — finding the gap and drafting the focus brief — so the human time is spent teaching, not planning.
What subject and ages?
Right now we tutor math, focused on Pre-Algebra and Algebra I foundations. We're starting narrow on purpose and will extend to more subjects and levels as the model proves out.
Is it online?
Yes — live 1:1 sessions over Google Meet, Zoom, or Zoho Meeting, scheduled around your family.
Do you offer SAT practice?
Yes - a full-length, SAT-style math practice test at pairmatic.com/practice/sat. Like the digital SAT, it has two timed modules and the second adapts to how the first went. Afterward you get an estimated math score and a breakdown of what to work on. Your first test is free; more tests are available with an access code - email info@pairmatic.com. Scores are estimates, not official. Not affiliated with the College Board; SAT® is a registered trademark of the College Board.
What does it cost?
Start free - a math check-in and a first one-on-one session, with no credit card. If you continue, founding families (the first 10) pay $30 a week for one 60-minute one-on-one session, billed monthly at $120, for the first 2 months. After that, sessions are $40 a week, billed monthly at $160 (four sessions a month). You can cancel anytime.
Are the check-in and first session really free?
Yes - both are completely free, and no credit card is required. You only pay if you decide to continue after your free first session.
What happens after the first 2 months?
Your $30-a-week founding rate runs for your first 2 months. After that, weekly sessions continue at $40 a week ($160 a month for four sessions) automatically, unless you tell us you'd like to pause or stop. There's no long-term contract, and you can cancel anytime.
How am I billed, and can I cancel?
Billing is monthly - $120 a month during your first 2 months, then $160 a month. No long-term contract; cancel anytime, and just reach out if you'd like to adjust your schedule.
Who are the teachers?
Strong STEM students and educators who are interviewed before they're approved. For the math pilot, we're specifically hiring people confident in foundational middle-school math.
How are sessions kept safe?
Sessions are recorded and transcribed with written consent from parents and teachers. You consent up front and are welcome to be nearby during any session.
