Terms of Service

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

These terms are an agreement between you and pAIrmatic LLC, a Maryland limited liability company ("pAIrmatic," "we," "us"). They cover pairmatic.com and everything we offer through it: one-on-one online math tutoring, the free math and reading check-ins, the GLYDE practice tool, the SAT-style practice test and printable learning kits (together, the "Services"). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information and is part of these terms.

2. Who can agree to these terms

You must be 18 or older to agree to these terms. A parent or legal guardian agrees on behalf of their child, and is responsible for the child's use of the Services. Students use the Services with their parent's or guardian's permission. Teachers may use printable kits with their own classes.

3. Free offers

The free math check-in, the free first tutoring session, GLYDE and the first SAT-style practice test are free. There is no obligation to buy anything, and we don't ask for payment details to use them. We may change or end free offers at any time.

4. Paid tutoring

Prices and billing

Current prices are listed on our website or given to you before you enroll. Tutoring is billed monthly, in advance, for the sessions planned that month. We accept the payment methods we list when you enroll, such as Zelle. Payment is due before the first session of each month. If it hasn't arrived, we may pause sessions until it does. If we change prices, we tell you before the change takes effect, and it applies from your next billing month.

Cancelling and refunds

There's no long-term contract. You can cancel anytime by emailing info@pairmatic.com. When you cancel, we refund the sessions you've paid for that month that haven't been held yet, at the per-session price for that month (your monthly price divided by the sessions planned that month). Sessions already held are not refunded. We send refunds within 10 business days.

Rescheduling and missed sessions

You can reschedule a session at no charge with at least 24 hours' notice. A cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice, or a missed session, counts as a session used. If we need to cancel or your tutor can't make it, we reschedule at no charge or refund that session, whichever you prefer.

If a student is more than 15 minutes late without telling us, the tutor may end the call, and it counts as a missed session. A session that starts late because the student is late still ends at the scheduled time. If your tutor is late, we make up the time.

5. Sessions, recording and safety

• Sessions are one-on-one and online, over Google Meet, Zoom or Zoho Meeting.
• Every tutor is interviewed before working with students.
• Sessions are recorded with your written consent. Recordings and transcripts are deleted within 15 days, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• You're welcome to be nearby during any session.
• Students and tutors are expected to be respectful. We may end a session, or the tutoring arrangement, if anyone's conduct is unsafe or inappropriate.
• Maryland law requires every adult to report suspected child abuse or neglect. Our tutors and staff will report it.

6. The SAT-style practice test

Our SAT-style practice test uses original questions. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or administered by the College Board. SAT® is a registered trademark of the College Board. Scores are estimates, not official scores. Additional tests are unlocked with an access code, which is tied to the email address it was issued for and can't be transferred.

7. Using our materials

Our questions, tests, reports, kits, software and site content belong to pAIrmatic and are protected by copyright. You may use them for your own family's learning, and teachers may use printable kits with their own students. You may not:

• sell, republish or redistribute our materials, or use them to build a competing product;
• copy or scrape our questions or answers in bulk;
• post our kits or other materials on public websites or on school-wide or district-wide drives;
• try to get around access codes or security, or disrupt the site.

8. No guarantees

We work hard to help every student, but learning depends on many things outside our control. We don't guarantee any grade, test score or other result. Automated test scores, check-in results and AI-assisted summaries are learning tools and may sometimes contain errors. The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," and to the extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, pAIrmatic is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

10. Changes and ending these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the effective date above and, for changes that affect paid tutoring, email enrolled families before the change takes effect. You can stop using the Services at any time.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Maryland. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest of the terms still apply.
